How do I reference an image in APA (7th ed.) style?
Answer
Check to see if there is an author associated with the image you want to use. For example, in Canva you need to click on the three icons next to an image and a window will appear with these details. From here right click on the title, then choose copy link address to get the URL Here is an example of how to find the author and URL in Canva.

APA (2020) states that "images and clip art from programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint can be used without attribution.” You can find more information on our online APA Library Guide https://libguides.swansea.ac.uk/APA7Referencing/images
NB: If you are using your own images (eg: own photograph) you just need to include a caption. There is no need for an in-text citation or to include in your reference list.
