How do I reference a repeating citation in OSCOLA?

Answer

Referencing a repeating citation (using the same source more than once):

The first time you use a citation from a case, Act or book give the citation in full:

1Weco Projects ApS v Loro Piana [2020] 2 CLC 468 (QB).

If your next citation is from the same source use ibid:

2 Ibid.

After that ibid can’t be used again for the same source. Instead use a shortened name of the source and a cross-citation to the footnote where the full citation can be found:

10 Weco (n 1).

For a fuller explanation, go to the OSCOLA Library Guide.
