Can I request copies of material from the Richard Burton Archives?
Answer
Self-service photography is usually permitted in the Reading Room but restrictions apply to some collections. Please see our Self Service Photography Guidance. Flash photography, lighting accessories and personal scanners are not permitted. Please note that some material cannot be photographed, including:
-
Items where the format, size or condition means they are at risk of damage.
-
Restricted material.
-
Items where there may be data protection, privacy or third-party rights issues.
We recommend confirming that self-service photography is permitted for the documents you wish to consult in advance of any visit.
We also offer a high-quality scanning service. Please contact us for details of the charges made for this service, other forms of copying, and for commercial / non-private study requests.
